ЗВЕЗДОПАД

1914

Sergei enlisted in 1914 after the Russian Empire entered the great war — he's gonna be our main character. He was often disrespectful to his superiors, which led him to getting transferred back-and-forth between units until he eventually ended up under Wanderer's command.

1915

Soon after his transfer, their group was ambushed — they didn't stand a chance.

Wanderer isn't the type of commander to sacrifice his men to a lost cause, but in seconds him and Sergei were the only ones left standing, so he grabbed him by the scruff and they ran.

Having barely gotten away, they saw one of their pilots was shot down and fell in the woods — hoping that he'd survived the landing they made a detour to search for him.

Fortunately, the pilot was injured but alive, and well enough to stand on his own. Enter my guy Uin.

Bieng far into hostile territory, with no connections to their comrades, the three of them start a stealth mission to walk back to friendly land by foot.

They're lucky to be traveling in summer, even if the heat and rainstorms pose obsticles, it would be deadly to be out here in winter on their own.

Wanderer uses his journal to keep a diary and tries his best to keep track of their position. They can't take the risk of getting close to populated areas often. If they need a top-up of supplies, they sneak into an unsuspecting farmer's house and get chased out with dogs.

Inevitably, rank and class are put to the side and they become close.

A month passes, and they celebrate still bieng alive by sharing stolen cigarettes around a fire.

After a long time spent wandering they finally come across an ally unit.

They join them on their path and slowly make their way back to their army.

1916

After months spent traveling together, the war takes them in different directions.

Sergei stays by Wanderer's side, and Uin takes back to the sky.
Sergei and Uin exchange letters as often as they can, (idk how to tell you they're in love with eachother ok). Sometimes Uin's assignments take him back to Sergei and Wanderer, and those are very happy evenings.

1917

The internal tension in the country is reaching a breaking point, and Wanderer has a plan in mind.

Having encouraged socialist and communist rhetoric among his soldiers, and bieng generally held in high regard among them, he uses the resources at his disposal. As the civil war breaks out, he makes the first move and ambushes his commanders and supresses any uprising of soldiers still holding alliegence to the Tsar.

Sergei becomes Wanderer's unofficial right-hand-man. Knowing him well, he's certain that Sergei is as loyal as a dog, and makes good use of it.
They're still friends, but something changes.

Meanwhile, word reaches Uin and he joins them with a stolen plane.

1918

They spend the next year together, except, now it's different.

During another fight with the white army, they're forced to retreat at the same time as Uin's plane is shot down. He's too far away to reach, and Sergei and Wanderer are forced to leave him behind.

1919-1921

Resentment starts to grow inside Sergei.

If he didn't follow Wanderer, him and Uin might've had a chance to build something together. Desert and run away, maybe.
Still, Wanderer is the only one he has left now, and he's come too far, done too much for him. It's him by Wanderer's side until the end of the world, now.

1921-1922

Even somebody as smart as Wanderer is not immune to a series of unfortunate circumstances, and he ends up cornered and executed before the civil war can end.

Sergei carries on his duty to Wanderer even after he's gone, and comes out of the war alive.
